An illustration of Father Christmas

Yes, we know it's a litte early, but there is only nine weeks to go until Christmas and the countdown to the festive season has officially begun.

As the temperature drops and the nights draw in, savvy shoppers, and those with lots of presents to buy, are likely to be making a head start on their Christmas shopping.
Buying certain items ahead can offer savings as prices are sometimes bumped up to explot last minute shoppers as we get closer to December 25.
But retailers, which are facing more competition than ever, do sometimes run special sales and offers as the festive season looms.
Here, with the help of lovethesales.com, we track the prices of the most popular Christmas presents, and update them every week to make it easier for you to find the best deals.
Prices are correct at the time of publication but may change. If you spot a cheaper deal we want to hear about it! Email: katie.morley@telegraph.co.uk

• Nutribullet

Nutribullet juicerNutribullet juicer
The Nutribullet has become a "must-have" for healthy eaters. Even the Duchess of Cambridge is said to be a fan. The gadget, which pulverises fruit, vegetables, nuts and seeds, is known as a nutrient "extractor" thanks to its unique high-powered blades. It is popular because it makes lump-free smoothies and juices in seconds - and - its easier to clean than traditional blenders.
Cheapest: Very.co.uk is selling the grey model for £79.00 including the emulsifier blade and all the usual cups and recipe books. It's also offering a £12.99 three year guaranteee, but this is optional.
Buynutribullet.co.uk is also selling the grey, black and red Nutribullets for £79.99, with free delivery and a one year warranty. However they come without the milling blade which is useful for getting the most out of your Nutribullet.
John Lewis was until recently selling the the grey version of the blender, with two blades, recipes and cups, for £69.99. But unfortunately the offer has ended and the price has just gone up to £84.99. It comes with free standard delivery or click and collect to your local store, plus a two year guarantee. The £84.99 price seems to be the standard for this gadget.
John Lewis charges more for the black and red models at £99.99, but not all shops do. Robert Dyas charges £89.99 for all three colours. So, if you had your heart set on the black or red model, you'd save £10 by buying it there. Alternatively you could sacrifice the milling blade to save a further £10 and buy from Buynutribullet.co.uk.

• Spiralizer

The Spiralizer allows you to turn vegetables such as courgettes and carrots into curly spaghetti. Favoured by celebrity "clean living" chefs such as Ella Woodward and the Hemsley sisters, it is becomnig a must-have addition to the kitchen. As a rule, Spiralizers are quite cheap and could be a less pricey gift idea than the Nutribullet. It also means you save less by shopping around.
There’s a fair bit to consider in terms of what type you want – handheld, horizontal or vertical. Over all, vertical seems best given that it creates less waste and is much more accurate and safe (risk of cutting fingers on some handheld ones). If you are looking to give one as a gift, the Attila Hildmann model is a popular choice
Cheapest: We've found one for £33.29 on Amazon.co.ukwhich comes with free delivery.
UKJuicers.com also has one for £33.50 and also offers free delivery.

Coffee machines are growing in popularity every year - and 2015 is no exception. Pod vs bean? Whole bean with grinder vs ready ground? There's lots to consider when choosing one. Tassimo is one of the leaders in pod coffee but there is now quite a range to choose from. Tassimo also faces stiff competition from Nespresso and Dolce Gusto. But the T40 seems to be the most popular model, probably because of its water tank size – it’s the largest capacity in the range without being much bigger, physically, than the others.
Cheapest: You can buy it for less than half price at Argos for £54.99, down from £119.99.
This compares to £74.95 from Amazonand £119.00 from the Tassimo shop.
